Secondary neoplasm to non-hodgkin lymphoma treatment manifesting as a cancer of unknown primary: The first case in literature
Annals of Medicine & Surgery / 1 - أبريل - 2024
Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP) is a tumor metastasis with no detectable primary origin. A Secondary Neoplasm (SN) is defined as a tumor secondary to a prior tumor treatment and has no histological relation to that primary tumor.

Cannabis for Tic Control: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of Its Efficacy in Tourette Syndrome Management (P10-5.013)
neurology journal / 4 - مايو - 2025
Abstract: Background:Tourette syndrome (TS) is a characterized by motor and vocal tics, oftenaccompanied by obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder
(ADHD). Cannabis-based medicines (CBM) present a promising avenue for future therapeutic
intervention owing to their interaction with the endocannabinoid system, potentially mitigating tics
and associated symptoms. Unlike conventional treatments such as antipsychotics, CBM exhibits
improved tolerability and reduced side effects.

cusp-overlap view versus three cusp coplanar view during transcatheter aortic valve replacement using self-expandable valves: A meta-analysis of 5947 patients.
Circulation / 4 - مايو - 2025
Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is currently the treatment of choice for most patients with symptomatic severe aortic stenosis. We conducted this systematic review, and meta-analysis to compare the efficacy and procedural outcomes of using the cusp overlap technique (COT) versus the standard three-cusp technique during self-expandable valves implantation for the management of aortic stenosis.
Hidden dangers of pelvic fracture: A meta-analysis on urinary tract injury incidence and risk factors
World Journal of Orthopedics / 4 - مايو - 2025
Pelvic fractures are often associated with significant morbidity, including injuries to the urinary tract. Understanding the incidence and risk factors for urinary tract injury in these patients is crucial for prompt diagnosis and management. This meta-analysis aims to synthesize existing evidence to determine the overall incidence and identify specific risk factors associated with urinary tract injuries in patients with pelvic fractures.
Urachal carcinoma initially presenting only as a liver metastasis, a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge: first case in literature
Annals of Medicine & Surgery / 4 - مايو - 2025
About 90% of patients are symptomatic and hematuria is the most typical presenting symptom at diagnosis. The low incidence and the histopathologic similarities to adenocarcinoma from various sources pose a difficulty in recognizing the tumor. Our study presents the only case of a urachal carcinoma first manifesting with abdominal mass resulting from liver metastasis with no prior symptoms of urological origins. Also, our study presents the first attempt of using FLOFIRI-B to treat metastatic UraC.

Mid-to-Long-term Clinical Outcomes of Ankle Arthroscopy on the Treatment of Chronic Ankle Conditions: Systematic Review and Meta-analysis
Foot & Ankle Specialist (FAS) / 5 - يوليو - 2025
BackgroundThe effectiveness of arthroscopic ankle surgery for chronic ankle conditions, including pain intensity, functionality, and success rates, remains uncertain.MethodsPubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases were searched until October 2023. Mean differences (MDs) were calculated for pain reduction and functional improvements, and arthroscopy success rates were determined using a random-effects model.

Toripalimab in Esophageal Cancer: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Journal of Gastrointestinal Cancer / 8 - يوليو - 2025
Following PRISMA 2020 guidelines, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis, searching PubMed, Embase, Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar up to January 2025. Eligible studies evaluated Toripalimab in esophageal cancer, including randomized controlled trials and non-randomized controlled trials. Primary outcomes included overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS), and objective response rate (ORR), while safety outcomes assessed treatment-related adverse events. Data were synthesized using random-effects models, with heterogeneity evaluated via Cochrane’s Q and I2 statistics.

Impact of aortic angulation on outcomes in transcatheter aortic valve replacement with balloon-expandable and self-expanding valves: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Cardiovascular Intervention and Therapeutics / 26 - يوليو - 2025
High aortic angulation (AA) can pose significant challenges during TAVR. This meta-analysis determines the impact of a horizontal aorta on TAVR outcomes with balloon-expandable (BEV) and self-expanding valves (SEVs). A comprehensive search was conducted from inception to June 2024. Thirteen observational studies assessing the impact of aortic angulation in patients undergoing TAVR replacement were included. The pooled results indicated that short-term mortality was significantly lower in patients with a non-horizontal aorta . Subgroup analysis displayed that BEVs had a lower short-term mortality with a horizontal aorta than SEVs
